As Apple prepares for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, rumors are already flying about possible changes in the upcoming iOS 17 (in addition to iPhone rumors). While the legitimacy of these rumors is still up for debate, some sources have shared alleged renderings of app redesigns for the Wallet, Health, and wallpaper picker interface.
Redesigns for Wallet
The leaked iOS 17 concept showcases a new design for the Wallet app that features a search function, separated tabs for cards and other passes such as airline boarding passes, and a bottom navigation bar. The navigation bar offers dedicated tabs for “Cash,” “Keys,” “IDs,” and “Orders.” Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has previously reported on Apple’s plan to revamp the Wallet app in iOS 17.
Redesigns for Health
The source who shared the alleged iOS 17 concept also claimed that the Health app would receive a facelift in its “Favorites” tab. The redesign will allegedly showcase smaller square-shaped tiles, enabling users to view additional metrics without having to scroll down the app.
Revamp for Wallpapers
The source also alleged a redesign for the wallpaper picker interface. The iOS 17 concept presents a grid view that displays nine or more wallpapers at once, with users able to delete, rearrange, duplicate, and share wallpapers with ease.
Take Rumors with a Grain of Salt
It is essential to note that the source behind these alleged iOS 17 concept renderings, @analyst941 on Twitter, has no established long-term record of accurate iOS leaks. The renderings are speculative at best, and it is best to take them with a grain of salt.
Official iOS 17 Release
Apple will officially unveil iOS 17 at WWDC in June. Apart from the iOS update, Apple is expected to announce updates to watchOS, iPadOS, macOS, and tvOS. As we wait for the official release, we can only speculate on what changes will come to the iPhone’s operating system.
